Fire Warden & Chief Warden Course Outline 

Course Aim

Our Chief Fire Warden training course is designed for persons who are required to perform the role of Chief or Deputy Chief Fire Warden at their workplace.


Participants will develop skills to ascertain the extent of onsite workplace emergencies and supervise evacuation of the workplace.


Particular attention will be placed on meeting the requirements of Australian Standard 3745–2010: Planning for emergencies in facilities and how it applies to all workplaces. Participants will understand emergency procedures and will undergo extensive practical drills on controlling workplace emergencies.


Pre-Requisites

PUAFER005 Operate as part of an emergency control organisation, USI Number, Fitness to participate. A basic level of English and a moderate understanding of mathematics will also be required.

Cost

$ 250 per person (GST exempt)


Certification

Students who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised.

Reassessment

Students who do not successfully complete the course assessment or who are deemed not ready for assessment during the regular course timeframe will require an additional assessment. Additional costs will apply to any additional assessments.


Cancellations

A cancellation fee will not be charged for courses cancelled or rescheduled no less than 5 working days prior to the course start date.


For courses cancelled less than 5 days prior to the start date a cancellation fee of 30% of the course cost will be charged.


For courses cancelled less than 1 day prior to the start date a cancellation fee of 50% of the course cost will be charged. Full course fees will be charged for “no shows” and participants who start a course but do not complete it.

Refund Policy 

No refunds are available once a course has commenced. Non-attendance at your chosen course/workshop does not warrant a refund, however substitutes are accepted should you not be able to attend a course for which you have registered. Under exceptional circumstances Industrial Licencing Solutions may give a refund. If you consider that you have a basis for such a claim, you will be required to apply for a refund in writing and provide relevant documentary evidence to substantiate your claim. Please note that as Covid restrictions have been lifted, we expect participants to still attend their course while following Covid safe practices in our training space. If you are unable to attend due to sickness a doctor’s certificate will be required.
