Telescopic Handler – Gold Card | Trained Operator Licence (TSHA) 

Course Aim 

This course provides participants with the confidence and competence required to perform CPR on an unconscious casualty. This training course is designed for any person who may need to perform CPR to utilise DRSABCD during their employment. This course is taught according to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This training course takes personnel through both theory of why and how we perform CPR. The LVR unit covers the performance of rescue procedures from a live LVR apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cable in the workplace. It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution, or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.


Pre-requisites 

USI Number, fitness to participate. A basic level of English and a moderate understanding of mathematics will also be required.

Course Content 

UETTDRRF04 Perform rescue from a live LV panel.

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

  • Assess the incident scene.
  • Conduct DRSABCD
  • CPR techniques / recovery position
  • Handover to medical personnel
  • Placement and inspection of rescue equipment
  • Assessing and controlling hazards to rescuer, victim, and others
  • Isolation procedures where appropriate
  • Maintaining Safe Approach Distances (SAD’s) appropriate to rescue from a live LV panel.
  • Involvement of external emergency services as appropriate
  • Practical demonstration of rescuing a person
  • Removing victim / self to safe location / place of safety

Cost

$140.00 per person (GST exempt)


Certification

Successful candidates will be awarded the Nationally Recognised unit of competency UETTDRRF04 Perform rescue from a live LV panel & HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Reassessment

Students who do not successfully complete the course assessment or who are deemed not ready for assessment during the regular course timeframe will require an additional assessment. Additional costs will apply to any additional assessments. 


Cancellations

A cancellation fee will not be charged for courses cancelled or rescheduled no less than 5 working days prior to the course start date.


For courses cancelled less than 5 days prior to the start date a cancellation fee of 30% of the course cost will be charged.


For courses cancelled less than 1 day prior to the start date a cancellation fee of 50% of the course cost will be charged. Full course fees will be charged for “no shows” and participants who start a course but do not complete it.

Refund Policy 


No refunds are available once a course has commenced. Non-attendance at your chosen course/workshop does not warrant a refund, however substitutes are accepted should you not be able to attend a course for which you have registered.


Under exceptional circumstances Industrial Licencing Solutions may give a refund. If you consider that you have a basis for such a claim, you will be required to apply for a refund in writing and provide relevant documentary evidence to substantiate your claim.


Please note that as Covid restrictions have been lifted, we expect participants to still attend their course while following Covid safe practices in our training space. If you are unable to attend due to sickness a doctor’s certificate will be required.
